Dr. Angel K. Durr

Dr. Angel Durr obtained her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of North Texas in 2018 at the age of 31 years old. Angel is a mother of one and the owner of DataReady DFW, a nonprofit organization focused on using strategic data, AI, and RPA tech to serve the needs of marginalized populations.

In addition to working as a speaker and consultant, Dr. Durr currently serves as a Lecturer in the University of Nevada Analytics Online MBA Program.

Dr. Durr is a disabled first-generation college student and an Afro-Latina. No stranger to hard work, she has raised most of her siblings while earning her advanced education due to her mother’s frequent incarcerations and subsequent murder. Dr. Durr discussed this topic in further detail in her first TedxTalk last Fall.

In addition to discussing the overlap between Cybercrime and Data, Dr. Durr is currently using her personal experiences to conduct research focused on Entrepreneurship and Leadership opportunities for the Neurodiverse and Autistic populations.
